Week ending 9-27-15

Monday: Kylie's birthday party.

Kylie was at Aunt Sara's for her birthday so when she got home we celebrated her birthday.

Opening the cards the little kids made for her.

Kids goofing off when presents were opened. Besides the homemade cards, she got piano music (from extended family), a curling iron, and candy. 

Yes, birthdays make us hyper.

 Kylie made a chocolate cake with KitKats around the outside and Heath bits on the top.

15 years old!

Tuesday: We learned how to do adinkra with potato stamps for history. This is West African patterns on grid paper.

Makenna invited Anderson to her picnic and pretended to feed him yummy food. 

Alexis is a wonderful helper with the little boys. 

She often holds them, reads to them, rocks them, gets them dressed, cleans Sam after meals, etc.

 Wednesday was the first day of fall so we had our "Fall That's All Party" complete with a fall photo shoot. This was Kylie's idea and she did all the work of bathing the kids, picking out their outfits, combing their hair, and taking the pictures (except for the group one.)

The idea was to take a solo picture of each of the children for the side of the blog, but none of them turned out very cute, so I'm only posting them here.

There were also lots of goofing off poses, but I'm only posting one.

Sunday we got a family picture with Flat Stanley, a paper guy Nathan's cousin's kid sent us from Florida. Church is the only place we went this week, so that's where he got his picture taken at.
