On January 20 we got 5-6" of snow. It was beautiful. The schools had 2 1/2 days off. We still home schooled, but did a lot of fun things like making snowflakes to decorate the house and reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory aloud snuggled on the couch.
Here are a few pictures:

Going outside to check it out while it was still falling. This was 9:00am (time stamp never fell back). We got about 1/2" by the time it stopped at 10. Thinking this was all, we were disappointed. Then at 12:30 it started up again and snowed until nightfall. It was so much fun watching it come down all day. Nathan got home at 3 and played in it with the kids. They made lots of snow angels, had a snow ball fight, and made a snowman.

Spencer was the main one who played outside with Daddy. Kylie also played outside quite a bit, but since we have no snow gear, the others got cold and wet and quickly went inside for hot chocolate.

Thomas would have loved to play outside longer, but I was too cold to stand outside and watch him. :) At least we let him see the snowman Spencer and Nathan made. Except he wanted to knock it down. :) The cute thing about Thomas was that every time we went outside he would say, "Brr!! Cold!"

Here are Madalyn and Alexis watching Nathan, Kylie, and Spencer have a snowball fight. We also watched all the neighbors playing in the snow. A couple of them have 4 wheelers and they would pull kids behind them in sleds (which were actually small plastic swimming pools). It looked like a lot of fun, and we laughed as we watched them slide all over the road and go around turns. It was a great day!
