Week ending 2-25-18

Last Sunday: Nathan's mom was in town for a new grandbaby's birth and got to spend the afternoon with us.
The kids practicing for a song they sang in church today. I love seeing my kids gathered around the piano.
It melts my heart.

Monday: I came into the school room and found all these kids gathered around Kylie looking at something on the laptop. I love it when all my kids are hanging out like this together laughing about something even if they were supposed to be doing their work. :)

There was this cute bird nestled in this snowy tree in our backyard. I loved watching it out the window while I did the dishes. Our yard is beautiful when it snows.

Anderson singing and playing the piano. He's got a natural talent.
Wednesday: My oldest and youngest playing together in an empty box. Precious.
Lexi and Madalyn sneaking strawberries dipped in chocolate.
Thomas finds out and wants to sneak one too but Madalyn blocks him.
They all 3 laughed and goofed off while I watched from my desk. I love homeschooling and having my kids home together much more than if they went to school.

Thursday night: Pulling up at the church for the blue and gold banquet.

Alexis had all the kids in blue for the banquet. She put gold ribbons in the little girls' hair like Kylie used to do. The oldest 3 went to special needs mutual where they serve every Thursday, but I was glad Alexis was home to help me take the rest of this crew. The dinner was delicious and we had a great night.

Friday: We do preschool reading time about the time Nathan is leaving for work in the morning so he snapped this picture on his way out.

Friday afternoon: Having a movie party while it snowed outside. We watched "Cool Runnings" in honor of the winter Olympics, which we've also had fun watching.
Saturday: Taking Talea for a walk. I usually go while she's sleeping but didn't get it in till she woke up so I had to use the back pack since the stroller won't work on the unshoveled sidewalks. She cooed and jabbered happily the whole time.

Week ending 1-18-18

Monday: I looked over and saw Madalyn on the stair stepper holding a giggly Talea. It was so cute.

Tuesday: My mom and Alexis singing Broadway songs around the piano. I love it!.
Kaitlyn sewing a burp cloth for her baby.
Wednesday: Samuel's primary teacher came over and gave him a
Valentine's Day toy and treats!
Thursday: Our good friends from North Carolina, the Walkers, gave us a package!
In it were homemade cookies and an valentine for each child.

Friday: I've been trying to design and buy wood for a shelf and coat racks for this corner for a couple of months. Friday I took Thomas to Lowes and after getting all the wood, nails, hooks, stain, etc we discovered it was cheaper to buy a shelf and coat rack already made. So we changed up the plans a little bit and put together this instead. It's not exactly what I wanted but it works.

Friday night: While watching the Olympics Tom, Kait, and Kenna "built" a skating rink and skated in the dining room and threw each other flowers. :)

Kaitlyn reading to her bean plants.
Kaitlyn's do today.

Week ending 2-11-18

Monday: We went to the library and a park again. We're sure enjoying this warm weather. Just wish it would rain because I hate dry ground.
Wednesday: My little breech baby turned 6! Everyone loves my birth story because I pushed her out while they were wheeling me down the hall to the OR for an emergency c-section. I love the story because it's a time the Lord answered my prayers in a big miraculous way.
My brother and his family, my sister from TN, and my mom from CA all came for Makenna's birthday and to watch the Olympics with us. We had a fun day of playing outside and hanging out.
Struggling to blow her candles out.
Opening a bouncer I got her at Kid to Kid for her babydoll.

Aunt Lori reading to the little kids.
Makenna's cupcakes she decorated. Me playing with Madalyn's camera a little bit.

Friday: We went on a field trip with Lori to a waterfall. Here we're crossing the stream on a log. There are a lot of pictures here for our memory's sake. Feel free to skim.

Friday night: Watching the Opening Ceremonies! We love the winter Olympics. We had fun party foods and a great evening. I'm so glad my mom and Lori were here for it.
Saturday: Brady came over again and my other sister, Misty, from Boise as well as Lori's long-time friend. We had a wonderful afternoon and evening hanging out and eating good food together.
Sunday: My mom's long time friends came over and hung out with us for a few hours.

For church the girls had heart hair-dos and we all wore red or pink.
