IT'S A ......

Today I had my ultrasound appointment. We have been so excited and anxious to find out what the sex is and how the baby is growing. The 3 girls pray every night that "The baby will be a girl and that it won't die." They want a girl so badly. They talk about it all the time. Spencer wants a boy, but he doesn't think about it enough to pray for it. The girls' prayers were answered because IT'S A GIRL!!!!
We're so excited. She's looking great and appears to be perfect in every way. What a blessing. I came home extremely happy and overcome with gratitude to Heavenly Father for allowing us to have another baby girl. I was really hoping we could. I feel pretty confident that everything will go well this time and I can't wait to hold her.

How we spent our time waiting for the doctor. I love my doctor's office because there's hardly any wait time, but still books are handy to bring. :)

Nathan is working in the MICU this rotation and was sure he couldn't escape at 9am, but in answer to our prayers he rounded early and snuck out long enough to come and see the ultrasound with us. I was really happy about that. Last November when we found out Julianne was a girl we went out to Denny's afterward. The kids think it's a tradition now. Nathan couldn't go afterward today, but he promised we could go tomorrow on his day off to celebrate. That will be fun!

Dr. Seuss' Family

After Halloween last year the children decided they would be the 6 little ducks this year, but maybe they'll do it next year when we have 6 kids. Instead they racked their brains and decided on characters from Dr. Seuss' book, There's A Wocket in my Pocket. I am a Nureau in the bureau, Kylie is a Zlock behind the clock, Madalyn is a Yep on the step, Spencer is a Nupboard in the cupboard, Alexis is a Nooth Grush on her toothbrush, and Thomas is a Zable on the table. The costumes didn't turn out like I thought they would, but it was fun to let them pick out clothes to match the characters in the book and color their hair for the first time. Fun's all that matters right?

The indoor trunk-or-treat due to the rain.

Our traditional "dinner in a pumpkin" Halloween supper. The kids were so happy Nathan had Halloween off, even though he missed the trunk-or-treat.

Ready to go trick-or-treating
The Cat in the Hat joins us! All the neighborhood kids loved his costume as it was the only recognizable one. :)

Stake Conference Pictures

Last weekend we had stake conference at a convention center along the river on the coast. Nathan got the day off and it was fun to take a family trip there and enjoy a picnic lunch afterward. I happened to bring the camera and it's been a long time since we've gotten a family picture taken, so we asked a jogger sprinting by to take our picture.
