Week ending 1-27-19

Last Sunday: Talea getting pulled around on a blanket. They never held still enough for me to get a good picture, but she loved it.

Monday: It snowed all day! Kylie was home for the weekend and it was so fun to hang out all day watching it snow while we did some school and goofed off. I love having a whole, exciting day with my children.
Spencer measuring shortly after breakfast. We had a dusting at 6am, an inch at 7, and 3 inches by 9am.
Measuring at lunchtime.
Art!

Thomas took these outside pictures. Kind of a funny pano of our back and side yard but I'm posting it for him anyway.

He took this picture of the slide they made and a video of them going down it.

Tilly being silly on the table.
Spencer and Thomas also made this army of snowmen to guard the garage.

I took this as I left for a walk. I love seeing how deep the tire tracks go. It's like thick frosting.
Looking toward the mountains from the middle school. They were enshrouded in clouds and were so beautiful.

Walking along the plowed sidewalks. Some places looked like 10-12" but we only measured 7.5" at our house.

The ground was completely bare yesterday and today snowbanks are piled up everywhere. Crazy! This would shut down NC for weeks.

7.5"

Tuesday: Impromptu music time after lunch. Kaitlyn on piano, Kylie on violin, Thomas on cello and Alexis on oboe.
Talea wanting a selfie.
More kids wanting to jump in. :)

Bringing me her coat, ready to go outside. She runs for her coat anytime she hears anyone talk about going somewhere.

Wednesday: Running in the house to tell Alexis we get to go meet Todd!!!
Backstory: When Andy was 1 (20 months old) Alexis taught him all the apostles names and he often just called them by their first names b/c that's all he could pronounce. So D. Todd Christofferson became "Todd" and we've all called him that ever since. Last January 24 we had a birthday party for Todd and then sent him the pictures of it plus some fancy homemade cards. Well last week E. Christofferson wrote us a personal letter thanking us for our letters and Wednesday his secretary called me and invited the family up to meet him in person!! We go this Tuesday and we're super excited.
I'm not sure what this picture is for. The backside of a snowman?
Alexis took pictures of the kids to put on LDS tools in case Todd or his secretary wanted to look at our pictures. (Probably a little late for that since they'd already contacted us.)

Fixing Talea's sloppy pony tails before taking her picture.
And cleaning her face.

It was Talea's naptime so it was hard to get her to cooperate so first I held her and then tried a few different times putting her down and taking her picture.

Looking at a little photo album together.

Sacked out while Spencer plays.

Thursday: Talea randomly goes up and hugs Andy and it's so sweet.

My sister Trish taught her this.
Kylie texted asking if we were having a party for Todd and I showed her everyone was just goofing off, then we'd have scripture reading and the party.
Then I sent her this picture showing that the kids were more interested in Waldo than Todd. Really, I think it's fun to see them randomly crowded around a library book together having fun.
The brownies Alexis made saying "Happy 74th Birthday Todd" in marshmallows and chocolate chips.

We ate popcorn and healthy brownies and watched a Duggar episode.
Friday: Playing in a box toilet paper came in.
She actually handed me my phone then climbed on here and smiled. :)

I love reading with my 5 littles!
They take turns each day sitting on top of the couch and combing my hair.

Saturday: I took Thomas, Samuel, and Talea to Spencer's track meet at the Olympic Oval. There were like 75 schools there so he only got to run once so we just walked in, saw him sprint the 60M, talked to him, and walked out to be back home in time for lunch. This is the first sport we've ever done though, so it was super fun to be there and watch him.

Tilly being silly.

She's always giving me hugs, especially in church where she hangs all over my neck, hugging and squeezing me. It's so cute.
Andy had a fever all day but it made my day much easier. :)
