Week ending 10-27-19

Monday: Lexi's healthy coffee cake she made and I sent it to Spencer to entice him to come home for dinner. :)
A leaf collection someone was drawing for art.

I loved looking into the dining room and seeing Talea happily eating and singing to herself.

Tuesday: Nature school.

Four kids sitting on this cool tree root that curved around another tree.

You'll have to click on this picture, but Talea was so cute from far away.

Samuel took this to text Aunt Lori.
Wednesday: donating plasma. I took this to show the kids what it looks like.

Thursday: doing school.

Being Marios
Alexis reading a book with great voices so that all the kids gathered around.
Friday: two cute boys doing school. We did a lot of school, bathed a bunch of kids, cleaned the house, and made a lot of food all for Kylie and Madalyn to come home for the weekend! We were super excited!
Talea being cute.

Showing Kylie and Madalyn that the Halloween brownies we were making for them were on their way.
Lexi excitedly texting Kylie and Madalyn, her best friends who were coming home that afternoon.
I loved seeing her sit on the counter and be grinning at her phone.
Selfies we were sending Kylie.
Feeling left out of our selfie so Kaitlyn and Makenna took their own.
I was leaving on a walk during our break/nap time and I loved seeing Alexis happily sketching, comfortable in her crouched position.

At 4 we picked up Kylie from the train station and I loved seeing all the kids run to her and hug her. She's been the best big sister 9 kids could want.

Running with the train as it pulled out.

Then we went and got Madalyn from a ride she found coming to Utah.

We went home at 5 and quickly ate "dinner in a pumpkin", our Halloween tradition complete with candy corn brownies.
Thomas was on a campout but the rest of us enjoyed a happy, chatty dinner.
At 6 we went to the trunk or treat at church. These 6 dressed up as bugs/insects.

Dumping out the loot.
Having a relaxing evening, eating popcorn and reconnecting. I love having my older girls home!!
After putting the little boys to bed I only had 6 girls left (Tom was camping Spence was at the Ashbys.) They laughed and talked and looked at funny things on Kylie's phone for 2 hours.

Saturday: Nathan took the 5 little kids to the "Boo at the Zoo", Spencer worked, Tom was camping, and I got to take my 3 older girls out for brunch. We went to this little farm cafe where all the food was organic and local. They only had a few options and it's only open 3 mornings a week, but it was perfect for us. We loved the food and the whole atmosphere.
This my duck egg fritatta.
Lexi's ancient grain cacao waffle.

These have been my only church shoes for 12 years but I got new ones last year (these have been superglued many times) and the girls tell me to throw them, but take a picture first. I'm only posting it on here for them. :)
Samuel's present from my mom.
Coming out to see what it was.

We found it at Kid to Kid for only $35.

The sunset as I was going for a walk.
Sunday: Kylie combing Kait's curls for the primary program.
Our first snowfall.

Five little kids ready for the primary program.
These 4 were in it and did a great job!!
He sent this to Aunt Lori, saying he was ready for his solo. He did a perfect job!

After church we celebrated his birthday.
Opening presents.
Kaitlyn had him show the shirts we got him off the dollar rack at Kid to Kid, plus his new key chains I gave him for his birthday.
