Week ending 10-25-15

Monday morning we woke up to our first frost. Spencer, always the weather man with his weather journal, recorded it and then went out and took these pictures.

This picture reminds me that Spencer and Thomas have been sleeping on the trampoline, but didn't Sunday night, so they were excited to Monday night and experience waking up with frost on them.

Some random pictures of Anderson; I'm not sure who took them.

Spencer is Prince Henry who was an ailing child. Our history activities book said to "shave" his head by putting a nylon stocking on him and then squishing tomatoes on him like they did back then to cure people. Then they put chicken on the sick person's back, so the book said to put noodles on our Prince Henry. He is also drinking some bone and pearl tea, which we made by crushing a bone (sugar cube) in water and adding pearls (marshmallows). He was a great sport.
And sadly, he died when he was 15.

Kylie and Madalyn doing a mold biology experiment.

More random Anderson pictures someone took.

He was looking up at a picture of the Salt Lake Temple and smiling.
Since this is where I sit to nurse, he smiles at it quite often when he's done eating or just stares at it.

Thursday we were off on our first field trip with 9 kids. All 10 of us crammed in an 8 passenger van with 4 in carseats.

Everytime we go we take a picture in front of this fountain.

Anderson was so cute with his hands under his chin, we just didn't get a good expression on his face.

Playing with a floating ball.

Makenna the astronaut.

Waiting for the train to come.

Riding the train!

Whee!!
Samuel looking at the Madagascar cockroaches.
Three times we lost him and each time we found him kneeling on this little stool intently staring at the roaches. When we found him he'd point and say, "Roach, Mommy!" He apparently likes roaches. None of my other kids could hardly stand looking at them. Me neither. Yuck!

He also loved the floating ball.

Madalyn took a few scenery pictures for her photography class.

Alexis is a great buddy to Anderson, being willing to hold him when I need her to, even if she's practicing the piano.

Nathan took these not so good pics of me in my jammy shirt with Little Andy but I rarely get pictures of me with him so I'm posting them.

The Past Two Weeks

Anderson hanging off my arm while I talked on the phone.

Alexis and Samuel. She is so good to him.

Smiling on the rocking chair.

Squished into a tight outfit. The only time he wore this one. He's growing too fast! (And it wasn't cold when he was skinnier.)

Kids on a roller coaster, licking their lollypops they got on Mommy dates. They've had a lot of fun on this roller coaster this week. The weather's been perfect!

Kylie holding Anderson during some conference reading.

I thought it was cute how Thomas was reading to Samuel on the stairs.

Alexis and her buddy, Anderson.

Ready for the BYU vs. ECU game! This was really exciting since so many people here are from BYU. It was hard for them to know who to root for. Guess who we picked?
This shirt is one Nathan wore as a baby.

Last Sunday after an early dinner and family council we decided to be spontaneous and jump in the car and go for a drive out to the country, to the mansion neighborhood where we love to walk. It was me and all the kids except Spencer, who was in Utah with Nathan. It was super fun! The kids brought bags of candy and traded with each other as we walked. We laughed and talked and were all in great moods. The weather was perfect and the whole outing was perfect and memorable. You probably don't care about the pictures, but for memory's sake, here are the ones we took.

Approaching the ducks at the Brew's house.

The Brew's house and pond.

Reading party!
We ate popcorn and cookies around the table and then moved to the couch
where we read for an hour or two.

Having our fun homeschool friends over, the Walkers.

Hanging out on the floor
and in the bouncer.

I got him laughing pretty good the other night.

Sunday afternoon snacking.
