Last Sunday: Father's Day dinner with Nathan.
Tuesday: New sand for the sandbox!
Wednesday: Nature camp with a group of 4-6 year olds. The kids ran down the hill and 2 kids fell into a bush. It was so funny and they ended up using all my bandaids. :)
We had so much fun doing some activities, playing games and hanging out in nature.
We saw an eagle's nest and saw so many eagles hanging out around us (and being very noisy.)
Andy with a worm.
Making fishing poles.
Looking for better places to fish.
Making rafts and floating them.
Reading books in a big cavernous forested area.
Thursday night: Getting ready for a nature camp the next day. We made oil lamps to make sure the kids would be able to.
Friday: Three kids came over and made their lamps and decorated their sketch books before we headed out to nature camp.
It was so much fun having older kids who could hike, sketch, discover things, and laugh and joke with me. We had a great time.
I showed Emmett how to use a pocketknife and he went to town carving a wand.
Lydia loved this long worm I found and named it Gary.
We put Gary on the raft I made and sent him down the creek. It was so funny!
After we ate lunch, played games, did a couple of treasure hunts, played in the creek, and hung around our camp, we hiked to the waterfall.
We had to run down the mountain trail because we had stayed way too long at camp.
Back at my house we lit the oil lamps and finished our leaf projects.
As soon as the kids left we took off for Boise to visit my sisters.
Saturday: Thomas chillin during lunch.
We spent the day fridge shopping for Misty and then hung out at the park by her house for an hour before going to her house for dinner.
Lori and Talea are going to celebrate their birthdays on Monday.
Picking strawberries and raspberries from Misty's and Lori's garden.
Today: Sam and Andy took off their white church shirts to eat pancakes and the kids said they looked similar from the back.
Playing at the park.
S'mores!
It started raining and we go crazy when it rains so everyone started running around and dancing in it.
It didn't rain long but enough to put out the fire.
