The Quietest Saturday Ever
My kids were feeling sick this week, but not too bad and I thought they were over it. The music academy was having a yard sale this morning so we got up early and I took them to have a little outing. I got everyone a donut to be supportive. The girls had all brought their coin purses. After 10 minutes everyone said they were ready to go home. My girls usually want the junkiest of junk at yard sales and are willing to pay top dollar for it, so I thought it was odd that they didn't find one thing they wanted. Not even a mention of it. In fact, all the children were silent as we quickly browsed. So we left and got home conveniently in time for Nathan to take the car to a missionary meeting instead of getting a ride. The kids played with a neighbor. After lunch they all crashed. And crashed and crashed. The whole day was very quiet. Hardly a word from anyone. Nathan did patient notes on our home computer all afternoon and evening and probably thinks this is what my daily life is like. He'll never believe me the next time I tell him I'm exhausted from taking care of the kids and house all day.
Spencer sleeping on the couch all day.
Thomas asleep on the floor as soon as Nathan kicked him off the computer after lunch.
