Week ending 11-22-15

This week was really busy with lots of baby-sitting jobs, bonfire with friends, fondant lessons, YW in Excellence, errands, visiting teaching, ice skating, a campout, baptism, stake conference, and my sister's arrival on Friday. Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of most of those fun things. I only have other random pictures.

Monday night we went to a friend's house for a bonfire. It was so much fun! I love fall and bonfires and s'mores, so I was in Heaven. I forgot my camera, but took these of Anderson when we got home. He was cute in his fleece outfit which I got for Spencer 13 years ago, a few weeks before I found out I was pregnant with him.

Tuesday afternoon: Kenna hanging out with Anderson while I make dinner.

YW in Excellence Tuesday night.
I took all these pictures because we'll really miss our sweet, loving young women. We're a tight-knit little group. They make me a better person. And I'm so grateful for the good influence they, their parents, Sister Robinson have had on my own girls.

Kaitlyn and Allie doing a violin duet. I videoed Kylie and Madalyn doing a piano/flute duet but they sat down before I could get a still picture.
Afterward we had a hot chocolate bar and looked at the displays the young women put up to show the projects and service they've done this year. Madalyn's painting of a hummingbird is what the crowd is looking at towards the left in this picture.

The Pyres just moved in--yeah! a new young woman!
Brother Pyre asked to hold Anderson and he and Molly got him belly laughing.

Wednesday night: taking a little catnap while I ride my exercise bike.

Friday night: Lori arrived at 4:15 and after dinner was chosen to tuck the two little girls in bed. Three other kids gather around to listen to her read too.

Saturday: Alexis makes a pig out of fondant.
We had a little football party cause Lori loves to watch football. We made white chocolate oreos, football cake balls, and fondant covered cupcakes.

Week ending 11-15-15

Lots of pictures this week! Some are just random from hanging around the house but the majority are from our field trip to Edenton on Thursday.
Monday: Makenna playing with Anderson in his bouncer.

Kaitlyn and Anderson. For some reason the little girls put a blanket on his bouncer
and had had their baby dolls in it before I put Andy in it.

Wednesday: we went to the Veterans Day Parade Thomas marched in with the cub scouts.
When we got home the three little kids planted their flags in pine straw and hoped they would grow.

Anderson watching Daddy eat candy while we were watching a conference talk on a date.

Thursday we went on a field trip to Edenton. We haven't been there in 6 years and the kids were excited to relive all those memories of when we went there before.

Looking at the aquarium in the fish hatchery

This was to recreate the picture of when we went there with just 5 kids 6 years ago. (See below). They couldn't remember the exact order, but they were close. My how they've grown!!

All 9 kids
Eating our picnic lunch
Goofing off
More goofing off as they all piled onto a park bench and asked for a picture.

This view is a little bit better.

Back to finish lunch
Picnic lunch 6 years ago.

The Roanoke River Lighthouse that was moved here a few years ago.

Buddies picture. Everyone has a buddy except poor Tom.

More goofing off on the slide. I love how much fun they all have together. Everyone was in great moods and it was a wonderful field trip.

Walking along the fishing pier.

View of the lighthouse from the pier.
Picture in front of the North Carolina flag. We may be leaving this state soon so the kids felt the flag was even more special than usual.

Picture with the 13 colonies flag. (The kids asked for all these pictures.)

Picture on the pier 6 years ago. Those kids were so cute!

Spencer signing "N.C."

A neat bridge Madalyn took a picture of. We wish we lived back there. (It was a private drive.)

Some moss the kids loved and wanted a picture to remember it by.

The three oldest magnolia trees in North Carolina.
They are in front of the oldest church in North Carolina.

Four boys asleep in the back row.

Friday night the 4 oldest kids went to see a play with the YW president. I stayed home with the youngest 5 and let them have popcorn and a movie in the kitchen.

Cleaning and packing the girls' room on Saturday.
I worked all day and don't have much to show for it. I have a lot to do in the next 6 weeks.

Anderson was laughing at Madalyn while she wrote in her journal.

Samuel dumped out a Chex mix.
