Week ending 11-8-15

Not a lot of pictures this week.
We had church activities nearly every night, but during the day were busy with homeschool.
After breaking the fast on Sunday it was time to break out the Halloween candy!

Later that night Alexis and Thomas made food animal creations from the Friend and took pictures of them. I think they were called Bentos lunches.

Wednesday at Young Mens Spencer's hand got kicked when he was going for the ball. He took this picture to show my sister who loves injuries.

Saturday evening someone took a lot of pictures of Alexis after bathing Anderson, but they were all blurry. I guess he was grinning and cooing at her. Apparently this was his first non-screaming bath.

Kaitlyn with her doll wearing Sam's shirt.

Spencer rocking Anderson on the porch swing for me while I cut Nathan's hair. Anderson screams every night from 6-10, which made Saturday night difficult with all the baths and haircuts I had to give, laying out church clothes, a lesson to prepare, and tidying up. We all pitch in though and I love going to bed feeling so peaceful that everything is ready for the Sabbath.

Week ending 11-1-15

Thomas hiding in our broken couch.

I'm guessing someone thought Samuel was cute paying with his cars with a clown wig on because I don't think they were taking the picture of me folding laundry.

Makenna playing with Anderson.

Playing doctor on their ship.

Taking Samuel on a date for his birthday.

We played at the park together, went visiting teaching, then grocery shopping. He was so cute and loved all the one-on-one attention.

Homemade card and car with wheels that really turned from Alexis. The pull out tab on the right side of the card held Smarties. She is so creative.

Magnetic car carrier from my parents.
Mrs. Hyatt's brownies--his favorite.

Thomas and Madalyn dressed as mimes for the trunk-or-treat Friday night.
Samuel is a lion.
We were a circus this year.

Someone said they had an elephant costume we could borrow and brought it to the trunk-or-treat. I was thrilled when it turned out to be Dumbo, because that truly fit our circus theme. Makenna didn't know who Dumbo was, but she still loved the costume. When she put it on on Saturday night she said, "It's crowded in here!" I love 3 year-olds.
Both Friday and Saturday nights people asked Spencer to juggle. For doing so he got a Capri Sun, a big Reeses, or a bigger handful of candy than the other kids got.
We also borrowed this clown costume, which Kaitlyn loved.
Nathan kept telling me to get a shot of Dumbo's backside cause it was so cute.

Dumping out the loot in the living room.

Anderson the clown.

The ringmaster and clown.

Week ending 10-25-15

Monday morning we woke up to our first frost. Spencer, always the weather man with his weather journal, recorded it and then went out and took these pictures.

This picture reminds me that Spencer and Thomas have been sleeping on the trampoline, but didn't Sunday night, so they were excited to Monday night and experience waking up with frost on them.

Some random pictures of Anderson; I'm not sure who took them.

Spencer is Prince Henry who was an ailing child. Our history activities book said to "shave" his head by putting a nylon stocking on him and then squishing tomatoes on him like they did back then to cure people. Then they put chicken on the sick person's back, so the book said to put noodles on our Prince Henry. He is also drinking some bone and pearl tea, which we made by crushing a bone (sugar cube) in water and adding pearls (marshmallows). He was a great sport.
And sadly, he died when he was 15.

Kylie and Madalyn doing a mold biology experiment.

More random Anderson pictures someone took.

He was looking up at a picture of the Salt Lake Temple and smiling.
Since this is where I sit to nurse, he smiles at it quite often when he's done eating or just stares at it.

Thursday we were off on our first field trip with 9 kids. All 10 of us crammed in an 8 passenger van with 4 in carseats.

Everytime we go we take a picture in front of this fountain.

Anderson was so cute with his hands under his chin, we just didn't get a good expression on his face.

Playing with a floating ball.

Makenna the astronaut.

Waiting for the train to come.

Riding the train!

Whee!!
Samuel looking at the Madagascar cockroaches.
Three times we lost him and each time we found him kneeling on this little stool intently staring at the roaches. When we found him he'd point and say, "Roach, Mommy!" He apparently likes roaches. None of my other kids could hardly stand looking at them. Me neither. Yuck!

He also loved the floating ball.

Madalyn took a few scenery pictures for her photography class.

Alexis is a great buddy to Anderson, being willing to hold him when I need her to, even if she's practicing the piano.

Nathan took these not so good pics of me in my jammy shirt with Little Andy but I rarely get pictures of me with him so I'm posting them.

Daddy playing with Anderson.
