Week ending 7-31-16

Last Sunday: Kylie and Spencer sizing (that's how the kids say "measuring") to see if Spencer has passed up Kylie. He has by about an inch.
Kaitlyn and Makenna sizing. They look a lot farther than their 22 months apart. Kait is tall for her age and Kenna is short.
Kaitlyn and Thomas sizing. They are the furthest apart because of our stillborn. They are 2.5 years apart.

Kaitlyn had a twisty braid around a headband for church. This is when she took it out. It was so cute and curly.

Monday Nathan took the 8 kids to the Pioneer Day Parade. We've never been or really heard of it, but I think everyone enjoyed it. Way fancier floats than were in our tiny parades in North Carolina. Madalyn was the photographer for these pictures. I'm including a lot so that we can remember our favorite floats, but there are lots I'm not including. :)

This one was my favorite. I watched it on TV at home while Anderson slept.

Tuesday: school breakfast
Afterwards we went to our friend's house to pick apricots like we did last week. This time I had 4 older kid helpers in addition to the 5 younger ones. We pulled the van into their yard and stood on top of it to pick.
Anderson sat on top of the van and happily ate the apricots while still attached to the trees. He didn't even bother to pick them! It was so funny.

Anderson pushing Makenna around.

Wednesday: Kaitlyn showing the fruits of our labors. We made jam, dried apricots, and fruit leathers. We also made a delicious apricot braid bread on Thursday.

Thursday: Anderson getting into the church magazines.

Spencer fixing Alexis's desk that broke.

Anderson pushing Samuel around.

Friday: Anderson helping with the laundry--climbing into the dryer and out again.

Saturday: A repeat of last week--Samuel and Anderson washing their hair in my shower without water.

Nathan obviously took these pictures as he's so tall.

Sunday: Kylie's do on Kaitlyn.

Cute pictures of the kids as usual. And wow! What a lot of work that fruit was!
