Monday morning we had 2 ducks in our yard that made us super happy.
We'd love to have a small farm some day. All morning Talea went around saying, "Duck, see! Duck!"
Playing on the car in the house while it rained for several days.
Going for a walk in the rain to see the horsies.
We got an Easter package from my mom!
Musical number during FHE.
Wednesday: The rain stopped so we went to the park to enjoy the spring blossoms.
I wasn't sure how long they'd last.
There was a cat there the kids quickly named Oreo.
There must have been 6-7 trains pass by while we were there and the kids loved waving to the engineer and getting him to honk.
Thursday: Kylie came up on her reading day (day before finals) to get her braces off. Last picture of her with braces as she ran out the door!
First picture as she came home without them. She's had them for 2.5 years and would have done another 6 months if I hadn't put my foot down to get them off now so she can get followup care before submitting her mission papers in the fall.
Madalyn ran Kylie to the train station that night and took the little kids with her so I took the opportunity to go for a quick walk. As I left the moon was coming up and looked so pretty.
Friday: Annual Easter Egg hunt in our neighborhood. Last year was stressful with Talea as an infant and the other little kids, making food to bring, and cold weather. This year was relaxing and joyful with Talea walking around being super cute as she picked up her eggs. She knew just what to do. I didn't get any good pictures, but I have good memories of watching her and wishing she'd stay this age forever.
The Bells' backyard.
Tilly and her friend Ruth who is 3.5 months older.
Tilly was saying, "Wheeee!"
Saturday: Gathering to go down stairs to see what the Easter Bunny brought.
(Spencer was sleeping at a friend's house. Kylie was at college.)
Dying eggs.
Alexis made this one and named it Brady and sent him a picture of it.
The rest of the afternoon the little girls played in the treehouse with the neighbor girls. They pretended to go camping with 18 children. It's hard to tell, but there was a lot of stuff in that treehouse! When I texted Krisi next door saying they were going camping with 18 kids -17 girls and 1 boy- she wrote back, "Haha! They're preparing to be YW camp leaders!:)"
Meanwhile the little boys and a friend went camping under the trampoline.
Bringing their stuff inside.
