Week ending 2-21-21

We had a great week. Monday was a holiday and Wednesday a snow day and there's school on Friday so the 2 public schooled boys only had to go twice this week. This week was full of blessings and fun times.

Kaitlyn made hearts in Makenna's hair.

We made pink heart multi-grain pancakes for Sunday dinner along with pink scrambled eggs and sausage.

The other 3 boys didn't want to join the photo shoot.

Spencer said in a group chat with my brother that he wishes he were in NC right now. I sent him this: They're getting slammed with rain and an ice storm is coming next.
That got me and Alexis missing NC too so we watched some BYU TV episodes on Hurricane Florence cleanup in NC and a Story Trek in NC while eating Valentine chocolates.
Right where we paused the show to take a pic had Chapel Hill on it!
Lori is missing Nashville and all their excitement.
Monday: Planning a quick surprise party for Spencer who got into BYU!

Tilly watching for Spencer to come home from the store.
Eating a delicious taco soup lunch.

Sam and Andy made paper pianos with music stands.
We have two pianos in our house but they had to make and play their own. :)
Andy even made his own piano book called "Piano Guys 10" and keeps it with the piano music.
The bottom says 2000201 (two thousand twenty one)
Madalyn got the real Piano Guys 10 for Christmas.
They also made a paper camera which you see behind them with a green remote to go with it. They had it all set up and were filming themselves in concert.

Silly sandwich kids wanting a picture.
Tuesday: We didn't get any snow on Monday like we were supposed to but we did get 3.5 inches on Tuesday.
Kaitlyn's thick bed of blankets where she spent a lot of the day crocheting doll dresses.
Seth and Kira gave us a brand new washing machine!!
Ours broke after we had it for 13.5 years and it we'd bought it old and used for only $100 back in 2007. So it was time to go. I was only planning on getting another used one but Kira surprised us with a brand new one!

It's huge!!
We can fit way more clothes than our last one could.
Tuesday nights I watch 2 neighbor boys and I took this to send to their mom that they were happily eating their asparagus.
We played sardines and Thomas found a good hiding place.
After pulling the clothes from the dryer Talea said they were so warm we should just sleep there, so we did.

Wednesday: It snowed all day and I figured a cozy way to spend the morning was in the tub.

I drove to activity days and crammed a lot of girls into my little van. :)
Thursday: Having fun stocking up on books.
Sam and Andy put all their books on Andy's card and he now has 96 books on it counting ones we still had at home.
I had already carried out all the full book bags and they had to carry the books that didn't fit.
Samuel off to his activity day boys: sledding! It's his first time ever going sledding. When I told his leader that, he took Thomas, Kaitlyn, and Makenna sledding with his kids on Saturday--their first time ever too.
Heading over the wall to his leader's house.
Buddies goofing off.
Samuel home happy that he had a fun time.
Friday: The three little kids skipped school and cuddled on the couch and read all morning from 8-11am.
At noon our ministering brothers came. I love the feeling of having my kids gathered in the living room doing the activities they had us do and listening.
One of our brothers is 88!
Saturday: Off to an all day dress rehearsal!
Samuel said it was his first day of track (Spencer told us next Monday was his first day of outdoor track) so he started practicing his hurdles, the event Spencer is really good at.
At 11 we watched the Friend to Friend. Can't believe I only have 5 kids left in primary, ages 3-10 this year. And 3 in young women/ young men and 2 in relief society. They're growing up too fast.

The boys playing on the hammocks.
Goofing off on Thomas when we were trying to have family prayer. Sibling love is awesome.
