We have a lot of pictures this week! They're probably boring to you, but we want them for scrapbooking purposes.
Samuel putting his cup inside his bowl and drinking from it at breakfast. Someone set the table with his bowl but he's only been drinking milk at breakfast, so this is what he did.
Tuesday: We did a Japanese Tea Ceremony to go with our 17th century study of Japan. Alexis and I prepared all the food and served our guests course after course. It was a lot of work but really fun. The kids were good sports about eating the food.
One course had rice and salad, one was a pickle, one was fish, one was hot lemon water, one was tea (peach mango juice). There were others, but this picture shows all that food in one bowl as I forgot to take pictures during the meal.
Thomas admiring the "decorative bowl" with the black tea in it (hot chocolate) before taking a sip and passing it around.
Tuesday night we went to Thomas's first pack meeting: water games. Samuel was so cute following the kids to the water balloon shooter and standing with his hands on his hips. Too bad it's blurry.
Kaitlyn's turn.
This is actually my cloud picture. It was a beautiful night while I watched the kids play the water games.
Sam and Kenna in the tub.
Samuel modeling Thomas's new sunglasses.
Thursday Spencer had a court of honor, receiving his tenderfoot and 2nd class awards.
Friday: 39 weeks!
Thomas's Baptism Day!
Alexis and Thomas practicing their musical number before the baptism. They sang "I'll Walk With You."
Our family plus Aunt Lori who came for the special event. We're so glad she came!
Guests after the baptism.
When we got home we tried to have scripture reading and family prayer but everyone was so silly. We were in a party mood with the baptism now over and looking forward to the next event: the baby's birth. We were really hoping he would come that night while we were all hyper, but he didn't. Still waiting.
While attempting to kneel down for prayer Sam became a clown and first ran circles around the house and then put on Madalyn's shoes and walked in them with a grin on his face.
They loved how well their clothes coordinated.
Sunday (today): teal day at church
Aunt Lori is the best!
Goofing off
Still hoping the baby will come today or tomorrow. If not, I'll be induced on Tuesday. Lori leaves Wednesday and Nathan and the kids are going to Florida on Friday.
