Week ending 12-6-15

This week's pictures consist mainly of saying goodbye to our home. I took a picture of our lawn mower to sell it on our RS facebook page. Madalyn took pictures of our house to sell it on craigslist. After we finish updates we'll list with our realtor.
This sold really quickly. I'm sad to see it go. I researched and picked it out myself 3.5 years ago. We were planning on moving to a 20 acre farm in Fountain and this had a wide mowing deck plus cruise control plus a dump cart to pull behind it. So much for that plan. But I sure enjoyed using it here too. Rumor has it you don't need riding mowers in Utah. That makes me sad. I LOVE North Carolina climate; how the green grass grows constantly without ever having to water it. And I love the big yards and ruralness here.

The girls' room. Alexis sleeps on top, Kylie and Madalyn on bottom, and Kaitlyn on a crib mattress used as a trundle.
The boys' room. Spencer sleeps on top, Thomas on bottom, Makenna on the crib mattress trundle, Anderson in the crib, and Samuel wherever he wants. :) Sometimes Spence and Tom sleep outside, so Sam will sleep in one of their beds. Or sometimes he sleeps in their beds with them, or just on the floor somewhere. Can't wait to move to a bigger house and buy another bed!

The jack and jill bathroom. I've loved this feature of this house. It's been so fun having a bathroom between the bedrooms and having everyone congregate there either getting ready for church or getting ready for bed.

The "reading spot". Right now it has the digital piano in it because we put our Christmas tree where it used to be and we have a new piano where it used to be before that.

The view from the reading spot.

Another view.

View up the stairs. I remember how big and fancy this house was when we bought it.
I couldn't believe we got to buy such a big, beautiful house.
It's 1680 square feet and doesn't seem so big anymore. :)

Our new piano. Someone in Nathan's dad's ward was getting rid of it so he brought it to us for free last May. The kids are thrilled and we all can't wait for a bigger house to put it in a place less chaotic so that they can play to their hearts' content without being told to stop cause it's too loud.
Our living room.
Dining room that somehow currently seats 10.

The couch will not be making the move with us. Good bye couch.

Pantry on the left, coat closet on the right.
From the other direction: coat closet on the left, pantry on the right.
Laundry area. We bought these used when we moved in 8.5 years ago and never had one bit of trouble with them. They've been such a blessing.
Downstairs half bath near the back door and laundry area.

One of the few real pictures someone took this week, I think it was Spencer.

Nathan's sister Sara came for a funeral in our area. We only saw her for a day (and she was gone most of that), but it was great having her in our home. Family always blesses our home with a sweet spirit.

Friday night was our ward Christmas party. Here are the Santa pictures. Thomas asked for a jeep like he's asked for the past 6 years at least. Poor kid. I always thought we were going to move out to Fountain where there was ample of space to ride all over those flat acres and a garage to keep it in. I wish I'd gotten him one even if he had to use it here and keep it out in the rain.
Thinking of what else he wanted.
Kaitlyn asked for a front pack and diapers for her baby doll.

Alexis also asked for a front pack carrier and diapers for her doll.

Saturday the 3 oldest went to the Raleigh temple to do baptisms and one activity the little kids did is make fondant snowmen.

Oh, wait! I just remembered Lori took the kids to Fort Macon and the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and took pictures with her camera. This was Monday.

All of the above pictures were taken at the aquarium. The next 3 were at the fort.

Samuel and Anderson stayed home with me, but these pictures were taken after Lori got home with the other kids.

I dropped Lori and the kids off at Lowes to get a tree while I ran to the store.

Decorating it for FHE
