Week ending 5-8-16

Sunday night: Nathan's sister and her husband and baby came over for dinner. Devon plays the violin so we had a little musical evening too.
Katie and baby Joseph
Joseph-4 1/2 months. Anderson 8 months today.
It was so cute how Anderson kept grabbing Joseph's hand.
Still trying to grab Joseph's hand.

Monday: acting out the pageant. It's a tradition to play pageant for weeks afterward. I love it. This is the scene where Young Sara gives Jonathan a lantern before he leaves for battle.
Daddy eating dinner while we have FHE.

My brother and his wife stopped by on their way home from a job interview in Wyoming.
Here Ben gives Andy a back rub, which had him laughing.
Hanging out eating seconds on FHE treats.
One cousin came along and that was fun for all the kids.
They had a big slumber party in the basement playroom.

Wednesday: Samuel again discovered the strainer. Clearly this kid needs a hat. (The rest of the week he wore a baby girl knit hat.)

Filling up the oats container.

This tree is one of the last to bloom. I can't believe it's May and not all trees have leaves.
It's been fun seeing spring in a different climate.

This is the only dirt we have, so we're making it into a little garden.
These are the before pictures.

Thursday: Anderson learned to crawl up the stairs.

Friday: I'm assuming Madalyn took these.

Our bishop's wife brought us this beautiful, yummy cake
for baby-sitting her kids and for Mother's Day.

Saturday: Samuel was rocking his chair and conked his head on the bookshelf. There was a huge bump and small scratch.

The kids spent the afternoon doing crafts. First Kylie made some sort of bubble snake so we went outside to watch them play with it.

Another project was making looms. Then they watched a movie and worked on them all afternoon.
I LOVE stay-at-home Saturdays. Nathan went to the temple and work, but we got stay home and clean the house and play.

Sunday: A Mother's Day picture. Samuel changed his clothes and Makenna wouldn't get in the picture.

I love that I read this today! This afternoon (for the first time) Shane kept playing that he was in the pageant too! It's so fun having you close so we can be a part of fun things like that with you!

Samuel looks so much like Kait in the pictures of him on the counter with the strainer!
Also, Kait looks cute without bangs!
