Week ending 9-16-18

Sunday: Alexis made brownies for President Nelson's 94th birthday.

Monday: Andy off to somewhere fun.

These two love their motorcycles.
Making cards for Kylie's upcoming birthday.
Alexis up in the tree.
Can you still see her?
Kylie came home on Friday afternoon and it was so wonderful to have her. She's always smiley and happy and fun. She spent an undisclosed amount of hours (which she should have been doing homework) making a 6 (or 12 if you count frosting as layers) cake. Although the girls were up past midnight working on it, I loved watching them hang out in the kitchen talking and laughing.
Kylie made brownies from scratch, let them cool, got them out of their pans, washed the pans, made cookie dough and baked it in said pans, made white marshmallow frosting, made chocolate frosting, then assembled the cake, then frosted it.
First there's a brownie layer, then cookie layer, then cheesecake, then cookie, then brownie. With frosting in between each layer and graham crackers thrown in there for a layer somewhere too.

Sunday: Eating dinner as a family again after church. Nathan works till 11pm every night and sometimes someone stays after church, so eating as a family is rare.
It feels so good to have everyone together.

Andy taking a break from dinner.

The finished masterpiece!
Buddies!
Madalyn was taking a picture of Kylie and her cake when Kait jumped in.
Then Kenna jumped in.
Then Lexi and Tom jumped in. I love how everyone adores Kylie.

One day I texted Kylie "What do you want for your birthday?" She asked the girl sitting next to her at lunch and she said "A succulant." So I bought 3 succulants at the farmer's market. I think they'll look great in her window.
I also gave her some money to get something at the bookstore.
Happy 18th birthday!!
