Week ending 12-23-18

Last Sunday: Someone put a halo on Talea. It's hard to see from the picture.

Madalyn looked really cute just hanging out on the couch reading her scriptures.

I took this to show my sister Lori that her present came and we wrapped it and put it under the tree. (The big present!)
Tuesday: I took the little kids to the big library and enjoyed the outing. I sat and crocheted and then looked over and saw the kids way across the children's section decorating gingerbread people--the prize for reading a story by following the arrows all over the library. It's always surprising when the kids go off and figure things out without me telling them what to do in public. That's my goal in parenting them but most of the time they're too shy.

That evening we ate dinner at 4 and then had Peyton's birthday party right afterward, before YW.
Alexis made her some fudge to celebrate.
Alexis bought this expensive collectible doll exactly 1 year ago.
She takes good care of her almost as if she were real.

Singing to Peyton

Lexi bought her a whole box of presents--a bunch of cute outfits.

Kaitlyn was modeling the scarf I made for Misty so we could figure out how she might want to wear it.

Wednesday: While the older kids went to temple we made edible playdoh.

Thomas made a Nativity.
Talea was so sweet sleeping in her crib. I don't watch her sleep very often anymore.
Friday afternoon: The 5 girls and Spencer went to play with cousins and friends so I took these 3 around the neighborhood delivering a small gift. Samuel rode his bike and ran up to each door. He was a great delivery boy and it helped us pass the afternoon, get some exercise, and spend time together while getting something done.
The back of the stroller loaded up with our Christmas gifts to neighbors: microwave popcorn and hot chocolate packets and our Christmas card.
