Week ending 6-23-19

Last Sunday: A rare moment. Father and son playing a duet. Nathan's musical skills and interests is something I loved about him when I met him and I'm so glad he's passed that on to my children.
The moon looked super cool coming over the tip of the mountain.
Monday: Doing one last dissection we didn't get to during the school year: a fetal pig.

We started it as Nathan was leaving for work and he came over to take a look and participate for a minute.
The picture doesn't do this moment justice. It's so sweet watching my kids help our elderly neighbor with his garden. He's so tender and loving towards them and they honor and respect him.

A woodpecker.
Andy and Talea conducting the opening song for FHE. (In a loving headlock. :))

I went to cover the kids and first saw Sam's shirt stuffed so I pulled out a doll. Then I pulled out another. Then I looked at the girls and saw that they were also pregnant with twins. Haha, it gave me a good laugh and I called Madalyn to come see. Cute kids.

Tuesday: A happy dinner outside with my kids. We had perfect weather all week and we loved it.
Wednesday: Helping Madalyn stuff, stamp and address her graduation announcements.
Thursday: Launching paper rockets at the cub scout carnival.

Showing me their face painting when we got home.
Rainbow sunset.
Friday: Kylie came home from spring semester so I took advantage of her superior babysitting skills and asked her to feed the kids dinner and put them to bed while I went on a long steep hike.

Saturday: We did 2 hours of yard work as a family. Nobody complained, everyone stayed the whole 2 hours, and we got a lot done. It felt really good. I wish we could hire someone to do the rest or at least buy more mulch and rocks to keep the weeds down, but at least it looks a lot better.

Today: Nathan's brother came over to give him a blessing and we noticed Spencer has about reached him in height. They're both about 6'2.
I wish I had gotten a better picture but I didn't want to be picky and make them go stand out of the light, but these are our friends with 10 children who we had over for dinner. They're an awesome family. I'll have to get another picture sometime.
Nathan had their family line up on one wall and ours on the other. Theirs are spread from ages 14 to 1. Ours are 18 to 2.  We had a great time with them, eating and talking about homeschooling, car trips, bedtimes, and other large family topics.
