Week ending 10-24-21 Getting ready for Mama, Mama coming, Wizard of Oz play

Monday: Gathering and stacking wood. Family work projects are so fun. I just love them. I could work outside all day.

Makenna showing me her clay pots she's made with edible soup: wild onions, basil, and parsley from our garden.
Getting Thomas's room ready for my mom. It's coming along!
Monday: Organizing the playroom and seeing how this rug would look here b/c it didn't look good in the reading spot.
Andy faceplanted off the monkey bars and was just so cute crying. Luckily he wasn't hurt and hopped right back up.

We got these Halloween placemats from the library and the kids colored them right away before going to bed. I loved Makenna's hair as she was coloring.

Tuesday: Cleaning out Andy's junk box where he keeps all the stuff he's made: 4 monopolies, 1 candy land, 1 piano, 4 nintendo switches, 2 books, 8 tablets, 5 cell phones, 3 cameras.
Thomas mowing with the 3 little kids begging for a ride.
Pretty good forecast still! We've had all 70's since September 1 with only a couple days of 68 and a couple in the low 80's.
The letters we sent to Cousin Chase on his mission.
Wednesday: Playing at a school playground to kill time and get some exercise before picking up Makenna from rehearsal and going to Greensboro to pick up my mom.

We ran in to the library and Bud, the janitor loaded the kids up on snacks to take to the airport.
Picking up Mama! I've been waiting for 4 months for her to come to NC and VA.

A fun little resting place in the airport (even though the airport is so small you don't need to rest) as NC is famous for front porch sitting, something I love.

Thursday: Showing Mama the trails in our woods.

Friday: Putting out a cream rug in the reading spot to see if that looks good.

Talea goes so high when Thomas pushes her.
Makenna, the second from the right as an adorable lullaby league munchkin.
Kaitlyn as a city leader munchkin.

Makenna singing the lullaby league song.

Thomas singing as a snowman in the poppies scene. He sang loud and clear and emphasized all his acting.

Thomas as the witch's guard.

Saturday: campfire with the 3 little kids while the middle ones were at another performance and Alexis was at a YW activity.

I love the pictures Talea makes for her friends. I had to take a picture before mailing.

Sunday: Dinner at the Gomez's.
