Girls' Weekend

Friday night Nathan took the boys on the father/son campout. The girls and I were really excited to have some girl time. It was only an overnighter, not a whole weekend (we wished it were a whole weekend), but we called it our girls' weekend anyway.

Spencer and Thomas getting ready to go.

Driving away.

Friday night we didn't do much; just watched movies and had ice cream sundaes. Saturday morning we went to the little airport here and the older girls got to go on an airplane ride. It was only for ages 8 and up and they were so excited.
They always have to wear matching or coordinating outfits and hairstyles.

Alexis took this picture of us waiting for their turn.

A nice man who was laughing as he was watching Alexis trying to take a picture, offered to take one of all of us.

They rode in a little 4 seater plane with their very funny pilot and another little girl.

Afterwards we went to Texas Roadhouse for lunch with some free meal coupons from the summer reading program last year. It was so much fun just having the girls. They are so easy to please and enjoy every little thing. After that we stopped at Kohls to buy me a brown shirt so that I can match. We already ordered Lexi one from Old Navy and Kaitlyn even has one, so now we can all be matching. When Lexi gets hers we'll all wear them and I'll post pictures.

The girls were relieved that the boys weren't home yet so that we could continue "to party." :) We had ice cream popcicles and hung out together.

Our party ended when the boys came home at 2:00. However, it was fun to see how excited they were about their camping trip and tell us all the cool things they got to do. Both the girls and the boys tried to outdo each other in who had the better weekend. I'm glad we all had a great time.

Oh my heavens, y'all are the cutest :) I love that all you girls "partied" together, and the boys had their own boy fun! Wow, I can't believe you have 6 kids--you make it look like so much fun :D
