Week ending 9-27-20

We had a great week!
Last Sunday: The kids put on their doll primary program and invited some friends to watch it.
Samuel's doll is saying her part at the podium.
These twins were singing a duet.

After the little kids were in bed we tried out an ice cream maker Aunt Sara gave us. It worked great and made ice cream in 10 minute!
Kaitlyn made it and it was just 4 cups of raw milk, 1/2 cup of sugar and a dash of vanilla and salt. Way healthier than store bought and it was delicious. She wants to make it our new Sunday tradition. :)
Monday's best thing was having a campfire for FHE.
Perfect, Andy!
Afterward Spencer got the kids taking turns jumping off the railing and doing flips onto the trampoline.
Sam just jumped off and flipped.
Going around checking on the kids. So fun to see them lying on top of covers, upside down and sideways in their bed.
And one was in my bed sleeping with a movie she'd gotten from the library that finally opened that day.
Tuesday: Talea taking a picture of her scraped knees to show Aunt Lori.
A short rainstorm but we were so happy! We went out and played in it.
Alexis was taking pictures of the clouds so I did too.
Then I took Sam and Andy to the park just to enjoy the little shower.

Samuel got this book from the summer reading program and I loved watching him devour it each night while waiting for me to come tuck him in. He was my latest to learn to read, but my fastest. One day he didn't know how to read the next he did.
Wednesday: We took the whole day off of school and drove the Alpine Loop to celebrate the divorce being final. Alexis took these pictures from a very dirty windshield. The colors weren't spectacular this year as we're in a drought so I won't post many pictures but it was still nice to have a field trip.

I liked this one because it was the closest one resembling the Blue Ridge Mountains.
We went to Heber City and ate lunch in a park and on the way two deer crossed right in front of us.

We had the skate park to ourselves so we tried it for the first time.
Having a relaxing afternoon! We just sat and read and sketched for a long time.

She writes the ABC's on every other page. The other page she draws a lot of people. She's really good at both!

The big cottonwood we sat under and then climbed.
Rolling down the grassy hill.

Thursday: I went hiking in honor of my dad's 4th death anniversary.

I saw 2 moose! And then later saw another one.
And I saw a porcupine!

The streams are always my favorite.
The lake looked so dry and no wonder since we've had no rain. I didn't bother to sit and enjoy it since it wasn't pretty and I wanted to hike the 4 miles back down before it got too dark.

Friday: Making fall decorations for Kylie since she doesn't have any on her mission.
Kait took this to show Madalyn. We have piles like this all over our kitchen. If a candy corn doesn't have all 3 colors it's pronounced, "cool!" and set aside, not to be eaten. :)
Madalyn went to Yellowstone with her roommates. So glad she's having fun!
Saturday night bath night.
The kids having fun with "Aunt Wori's bubbles" and wanted me to send her a picture.
After Kait and Kenna got out of my shower they were cold so they hopped in my tub.
This morning: Found this bowl. Someone burnt their oatmeal. Probably caught it on fire in the microwave. Burned straight through the bowl!
